Installing and creating an account
Installation is a standard desktop routine. The profiles live in the local client.
On the site, the “Download now” button takes you to a page with installers for Windows, macOS and Linux. Pick the build for your system and follow the installer. On macOS you may need to allow the app in the security settings before it opens the first time.
Registration happens in the app itself. Press “Register” and fill in the email, the verification code that arrives in the mailbox, a password and a referral code, then accept the terms and privacy policy.
Setting up profiles and fingerprints
A profile in AdsPower is a separate browser environment: its own OS signature, browser build, screen parameters and cookie jar. You create one with the “New profile” button in the top left corner, and the form asks for everything the account needs before the first launch.
The fields are straightforward. Name the profile so you can find it later, choose the browser engine (Chrome or Firefox, with several versions each) and the system the profile should imitate, macOS or Windows. Proxies and account credentials
Proxy setup is part of the profile form and also lives in its own section. Four types are supported.
HTTP handles plain HTTP requests without encryption and is mostly used for scraping and caching tasks. HTTPS adds SSL/TLS and suits sites that require authorisation. SOCKS5 passes traffic without protocol limits over TCP and UDP and leaves data untouched. SSH tunnels everything through a secured connection and is built for server-access tasks.
In the settings you pick an IP checker, then enter the host, proxy login, password and the IP rotation link from your provider. The “Check proxy” button validates the connection before you spend time on the account. Connections added through the left-hand “Proxy” panel land in “Saved proxies” and can be attached to any new profile from the “Saved proxies” tab.
The same form holds account credentials. Choose the platform (Facebook, Google, PayPal, Amazon and others are in the list) and enter the login, password and 2FA key, the secret used to generate one-time codes at sign-in. Cookies for the account are imported at the top of the profile form.
